On this R-data statistics page, you will find information about the charity data set which pertains to charity. The charity data set is found in the wooldridge R package. You can load the charity data set in R by issuing the following command at the console data("charity"). This will load the data into a variable called charity. If R says the charity data set is not found, you can try installing the package by issuing this command install.packages("wooldridge") and then attempt to reload the data with the library() command. If you need to download R, you can go to the R project website. You can download a CSV (comma separated values) version of the charity R data set. The size of this file is about 206,412 bytes.

Format

A data.frame with 4268 rows and 8 variables:

  • respond. =1 if responded with gift

  • gift. amount of gift, Dutch guilders

  • resplast. =1 if responded to most recent mailing

  • weekslast. number of weeks since last response

  • propresp. response rate to mailings

  • mailsyear. number of mailings per year

  • giftlast. amount of most recent gift

  • avggift. average of past gifts
